ABOUT DARRYN

26 September 1967

Broken Hill born, Darryn “Nicho” Nicholls, is a competitive clay target shooter who is no stranger to the big stage. With over 40 years of experience in the sport, Nicho has frequented state, national and world championships. His open career kickstarted in 1994 where he placed first in the Double Barrel event at the South Australian State Carnival. Since, Darryn has gone from strength to strength, claiming many prestigious accolades, including an induction into the Australian Clay Target Association’s Hall of Fame in 2016. One of his crowning achievements being in 2010 where he competed in the South African National Single Barrel event which would see him become the 9th Down-The-Line World Champion, only missing three targets. Darryn has broken Australian records and captained Australian teams, accolades that have contributed to an illustrious sporting career.

Today, you will still find Darryn competing on the big stage. When he is not at the range, you will find him operating his family business, Nicholls Printers, or spending time fishing, boating and hunting.
