ABOUT PHIL

08 March 1956

Phil is recognised in the Far West Sporting Hall of Fame for his outstanding achievements at the Dry Lake Racers Australia Speedweeks which resulted in a number of Australian Land Speed Records.

Phil has always had a love of engines and motorcycles and began his working career as a motor mechanic, an interest that has continued to thrive throughout his life.

Phil’s love of engines and motorcycles led to him building his own bike to compete in land speed motorcycle events.

First competing at the Dry Lake Racers Australia (DLRA) Speedweek at Lake Gairdner in South Australia in 1995 Phill quicky realized his love of speed and the opportunity to go as fast as possible on the Salt Lake in remote Australia.

Phil’s passion for speed, motorcycles and ability to get the most from his bike has enabled him to accumulate an impressive number of Australian Land Speed records.

Phil maintains his love of speed and engines and is rebuilding his bike to race again in 2023.

Outside of racing, Phil enjoys flying his own plane, spending time with his family, fishing, camping and travelling.
